Besiktas Sports Club

Besiktas sports clubBesiktas Jimnastik Klubu, known as BJK, was founded in Istanbul in 1903 as a Gymnastics club. Their Football (soccer) department was first founded in 1911. Along with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray teams, they're also the most known football club of Turkey playing in the Premier League. Besides football, BJK has several sports branches such as basketball, athletics, boxing, handball, wrestling, and so on. Their colors are black and white, their nickname is "black eagles".

Besiktas won the Turkish Super League for 16 times, being 2020 - 2021 season as the last one.

Today, its president is Mr. Fikret Orman and the club's headquarters is in Besiktas district. Their stadium, Inonu Stadium or Tüpras, is also located in Besiktas near the Dolmabahce Palace and has a capacity of 43,700 people after it was completely re-built recently. The old stadium could hold 32,145 fans only.
