Istanbul Park Car Racing

Formula 1 Istanbul track was completed in 2005 in Tuzla Tepeoren area on the Asian side of Istanbul. The site is close to the Sabiha Gökçen Airport and is about 6 kilometers north of Kurtköy junction on the TEM Highway between Istanbul and Ankara.

The track was designed by architect Herman Tilke and built by Turkish construction companies. Istanbul Park track covers a total area of 2,215,000 square meters (547 acres), it's 5333 meters (3.3 miles) long, 14-21.5 meters wide and run counter clockwise. The total number of curves on the track is 14 (6 right and 8 left) and the teoretic maximum speed is 320.58 km/hour (200 mi/hr). The highest inclination in length is 8.145 % on the track which has an uneven surface with ups and downs. The longest level surface of the track is 720 m (2362 ft), and the length of the Start-Finish straight is 655.5 m (2150 ft). There are 33 pits/garages. The total spectator capacity is approximately 130.000 people (Grand Stand 25 thousand, Temprorary Stands 50 thousand, Natural Stands 50-70 thousand). The large number of slopes on the track makes the sport distinctive by causing the track to be tough from the sporting point of view.

Besides Formula 1 (F1), there were also Moto GP race, World Touring Car Championship race (WTCC), Le Mans 24 hours race, World Series by Renault race, etc. Unfortunately most of these international races were suspended some time ago and only some local races are run in the Istanbul Park Speed Track. The last Formula 1 races were held here in 2020 and 2021. The track can also be rented for product launches, car tests, product tests, practices, special organizations, and to photo or advertisement.
